A Message from NewPath’s Chief Impact Officer

Happy New Year! Thanks to your continued generosity, what an incredible last six months of 2022. Our agency is still celebrating the successes of last year.

Thanks to your partnership, we were able to:

  • Reinstate our in-person event, the Heart & Hope Gala hosting nearly 200 of our closest friends, raising over $70,000 (on the same night as a Thursday night Bengals Game, Who Dey!).
  • We successfully Launched our Louie the Lion Campaign, welcoming our newest furry companion for the youth we serve.
  • Participated in Cincy Gives for the first time, raising over $30,000, placing 4th place, and winning an additional $4,000 prize money.
  • Ensuring that over 500 children had gifts of their choice for the holiday season.

None of these achievements would be possible without the unwavering support of donors like you. We are grateful for your investment in NewPath’s mission of Igniting Hope. Changing Futures. As we embark on this new year, we do not doubt that together we can reach further to help children and families recover from trauma.

Thank you for making NewPath Child & Family Solutions a philanthropic priority.

Supporter Highlights

Individual Giving Spotlight – A Home for Louie the Lion

A generous donor, who has requested to remain anonymous, adopted a Louie the Lion plush to support NewPath’s mission. A few days later, NewPath’s Development Team received the stuffed lion back through the mail, accompanied by a note. The brief inscription read that the donor was moved by NewPath’s mission but wanted to do more to show support. They asked that Louie find a home with a child who truly needs him. Louie was delivered to a NewPath teacher along with his video presentation. The teacher was moved to tears because the story featured in the video matched perfectly with one of her students. Louie found a new home, a child in need found a new friend, companion.

“I was truly touched and moved to action by the truth of the good work [of NewPath] and the reality that we can’t leave these children behind. I am living a very blessed life and need to make sure someone else gets a hand up.” – Anonymous Donor

Impactful Corporate Partnerships – Black Sheep Performance

Black Sheep Performance (BSP) adopts 44 youth wish lists this past holiday season. Additionally, Black Sheep Performance sent a team of volunteers to host a holiday-themed party at NewPath’s Elementary School. The celebration included holiday-themed party games, a classroom talent show, catered lunch, stockings full of goodies and gifts for all!

“I chose to get involved with NewPath because synergies between the kid’s mindset and our BSP employees and myself are the same. The sense of feeling alone and isolated because of your mindset or background or how you act in public can be lonely. Not judging what each person has done in the past but judging them off their present-day actions and their want and need to improve their life.” -Patrick Coyne, Owner/Founder

Nick’s Story

Honoring a Legacy of Giving

NewPath Board Member Aimee Cordrey has contributed to NewPath’s mission for more than a decade through her insight, enthusiasm, and advocacy.

This past December marked the 18th birthday of her late son, Nick Cordrey. To honor his memory, The Nicholas R. Cordrey Foundation hosted its annual blood drive with an added donation drive benefiting the children NewPath supports every day.

This added donation drive was inspired by young Nick himself. During his life, he chose to donate toys to NewPath. Aimee thought, “If a child can choose, certainly we can also.”

NewPath received 18 youth bicycles and numerous items from our Amazon wish lists thanks to the efforts of Aimee, The Nicholas R. Cordrey Foundation, and all its supporters.

NewPath is grateful for the Cordrey family’s continued generosity and dedication to ensure Nick’s legacy is honored by giving back to the community.

Heart & Hope Gala

Thursday, October 12, 2023

NewPath invites you to the 2023 Heart & Hope Gala. An evening full of fun, story-telling, and celebration of our 2023 Heart, Hope, and Spark Award recipients. These awards recognize the volunteers, donors, and team members who go above and beyond to care for the children and families we support. We hope you will join us!

Louie the Lion

NewPath’s Cuddliest Team Member

Meet Louie the Lion, NewPath’s newest and cuddliest team member. He might seem like just a little stuffed lion, but he has BIG responsibilities. For many, the lion symbolizes bravery and strength. For enrolled NewPath youth, Louie also represents HOPE. NewPath is a positive source of renewal, where children and families turn to recover and rebuild strength in the aftermath of traumatic situations.

Donate Louie the Lion to a child enrolled in NewPath’s services and on the road to recovery from trauma.

Purchase a Louie and give more than just a stuffed lion —give the gift of comfort, love, and HOPE.
