A Message from NewPath’s Chief Operations & Impact Officer

As we wrap up the summer season, I want to take a moment to thank you for all that you do in support of NewPath. Because of your generosity, we have been able to:

• Open our new 16-bed unit at our Residential Interventions Program
• Create fun summer experiences such as Experiential Learning’s annual kayak trip
• Support clients in our summer programming
• Celebrate our team members and their ongoing commitment to the youth and families we serve

The days are becoming shorter, and our students are preparing for back-to-school. We look forward to witnessing another year of growth and therapeutic healing at NewPath Academy and across all of our service lines.

Supporter Spotlights

Empowering Donor Spotlight – Katie Droder

Katie Droder first discovered NewPath on social media through a post by The Jeff Ruby Foundation. From there, she did a little research on our organization and the amazing work we do for our clients and their families. Katie wanted to get involved and support NewPath youth by partnering with us through her organization. Queen City Book Bank provided over 180 books to start a library in our newly renovated Residential facility at our East campus. Books were chosen with residents’ ages, interests, and reading levels in mind.

Impactful Corporate Partnerships – The Jeff Ruby Foundation

The Jeff Ruby Foundation recently hosted a dinner for NewPath foster families for a second time as part of their Fighting Chance Family Dinners. Our partnership first began a few years ago when NewPath first moved to our new location on Reading Road. Volunteers from Jeff Ruby helped organize and clean our new facility to prepare for the move. Since then, two individuals from their foundation, Noelle and Hope, have joined our LEAD Board. The Jeff Ruby Foundation has partnered with us through events, volunteerism, grants for program expansion, and continually exploring new ways to make a difference.

Client Story

Learning to feel safe again

Daevion* experienced frequent hospitalizations due to threats of self-harm as a means to escape conflict at his group home.

He felt alone, that no one truly cared about him, and referred to hospitalization as his “go to” method for space.

Daevion was referred to NewPath through the hospital and started work with both the Therapy and Medication Management teams.

NewPath provided him with the safety and care he needed to graduate high school, get a summer job, and attend Cincinnati State.

An evening full of fun, storytelling, and celebration of our 2026 Heart, Hope, Spark, and Torch Award recipients. These awards recognize the volunteers, donors, foster parents, and team members who go above and beyond to care for the children and families we support. We hope you will join us!

Year-Round Opportunities

Make a difference first-hand through our volunteer opportunities! Support foster families by providing childcare during monthly trainings and events. Share your talents by partnering with NewPath Academy to educate students about career paths. Organize and maintain NewPath’s facilities and grounds to promote a healing environment. Have another idea? Share your thoughts with us and provide hope to the youth and families in our care.

Louie the Lion

NewPath’s Cuddliest Team Member

Meet Louie the Lion, NewPath’s newest and cuddliest team member. He might seem like just a little stuffed lion, but he has BIG responsibilities. For many, the lion symbolizes bravery and strength. For enrolled NewPath youth, Louie also represents HOPE. NewPath is a positive source of renewal, where children and families turn to recover and rebuild strength in the aftermath of traumatic situations.
