A Message from NewPath’s Chief Impact Officer

Spring has arrived! As the ground awakens with new life and growth, generosity blooms and provides fresh opportunities to make a difference. Hope continues to shine in the hearts of our clients just as the warm sun does above. We invite you to take that glistening ray of hope and illuminate a path toward brighter futures for those in need.

Ways that YOU can make an impact this season:

  • We invite you to join the Pave the Way Club, a dedicated group of donors committed to our mission through recurring monthly gifts. Invest in our clients’ futures by becoming a part of the ever-important system of solutions that NewPath youth rely on to heal.
  • Invest in brighter futures for the children, teens, and young adults enrolled in our Experiential Learning program. NewPath provides various opportunities for students to accelerate learning and bridge the gap between theory and practice.

Thank you for paving a continuous path for children and teens on their healing journeys toward brighter futures. Together, we can continue Igniting Hope. Changing Futures.

Thank you for making NewPath Child & Family Solutions a philanthropic priority.

Supporter Highlights

Individual Giving Spotlight – Empathy & Understanding in Action

Longtime NewPath supporter and Board Member, Billy Southerland, began his story with our organization at age 10. Young Billy was struggling with severe anxiety and panic attacks brought on by his parents’ separation. Crippled by fears of coming home to an empty house alone, Billy couldn’t participate in school or daily activities. A therapist suggested he stay at a local youth organization to begin his healing journey. Billy was then moved to St. Joseph Orphanage (now NewPath), where he worked through and coped with his overwhelming emotions and fears. Today, Billy works to pay his healing forward to thousands of youth. He knows firsthand the difference and impact NewPath makes each day.

“My family and I will be forever grateful for the role St. Joes Orphanage [NewPath] and the loving people there played in our lives. What happened with my family and the healing that took place for all of us is what drives me to come back and serve at NewPath. My hope and prayer is that this community will recognize that they can be a part of that answer. Together, Cincinnati, we can do it!” – Billy Southerland, NewPath Board Member

Impactful Corporate Partnerships – PNC Bank

PNC Bank hosted a St. Patrick’s Day party for NewPath Elementary students. The event consisted of snacks and craft stations run by PNC volunteers. The students would rotate to each station and get one-on-one interaction with everyone. PNC made a difference through one-on-one activities and quality time that built confidence and provided stress-free fun.

“PNC feels privileged to work with NewPath Child & Family Solutions. We are inspired and moved by the dedication that each NewPath employee has to serving young adults, children, and their caregivers. After every interaction we have with NewPath, we feel optimistic for their future. And it makes us work that much harder in our jobs so that we may play a small part in that future.” – William Dent, PNC Bank VP and Senior Investment Advisor

Client Story

Supporting Healing Journeys

Conor* is a 9-year-old third grader currently enrolled in NewPath’s services. His mother was recently released from prison and looked forward to a long-awaited reunion with Conor and his siblings. However, tragedy struck in the form of a fatal car accident. Conor and his two siblings never got to enjoy the safety and comfort of their mother’s hug they craved for so long. Through working with NewPath’s team of experts, Conor was able to find healing support through sports and physical activity. He asked his aunt, whom the three siblings now live with, for a basketball hoop. His aunt is doing all she can to care for the kids but needs a little extra support.

A local high school basketball coach and longtime supporter of NewPath heard about the story of Conor and his family. He and his wife were moved and immediately sprang into action to provide the basketball hoop to the youth in need. Conor and his siblings are continuing to improve every day and enjoy the new hoop, basketball, and bikes provided by NewPath supporters. Proving that ANYONE can make a difference in a child’s life.
