NewPath Volunteers: A Year of Impact

Volunteer Week 2026

Join us as we look back at the difference NewPath volunteers have made in the past year!

A Little Time. A Big Impact.

At NewPath Child & Family Solutions, we ignite hope by bringing people together to impact our community, change lives, and make a difference. Volunteering is an excellent opportunity to foster relationships with co-workers and community members, or even meet new people while contributing to a worthy cause. NewPath offers a range of commitment levels, from one-time volunteer tasks to long-term involvement. NewPath is continually growing and innovating new ways to support the community, resulting in an expanding list of volunteer needs. However, NewPath’s current opportunities aren’t limitations. All volunteers are invited to get creative and start a service project that aligns with their passions.

Be a part of something bigger through volunteering and living our Guiding Principles. These essential traits ignite hope, guide our interactions, and change futures.

  • Empowerment: Teach, challenge, and support each person to tap into their personal strengths.
  • Empathy: Create a culture of acceptance and respect for all.
  • Creativity: Adapt to the uniqueness of each person and their journey.
  • Determination: Demonstrate an unwavering belief in each person’s potential and abilities.
  • Collaboration: Connect and communicate to build rapport and strengthen relationships.

NewPath is taking time to show appreciation for those who have donated their time in the past. Thank you for your continued efforts to make a difference. Additionally, this is an invitation to new members of the NewPath community to become a part of something bigger.

Volunteers – Living our Guiding Principles

CREATIVITY – FINDING NEW WAYS TO HELP OTHERS

Legacy513 began partnering with us at the beginning of this year. John First and his son started this non-profit to share the hobby of card collecting. They package up and create sports card packs that they then bring out and share with the community. John comes once a month to NewPath Academy and NewPath’s East Campus locations. He meets with our students and Residential clients, bringing packs of cards for our youth to learn and discover the joy of card collecting.

“Legacy513 has ignited an excitement in our youth for the hobby of card collecting. Through their generosity to create/donate cards & to bring the knowledge of proper care techniques, how to trade, and the value of each card. They are not only building a love for the hobby, but they are learning how to properly care for things that are important to them and communicate effectively in trading said cards. Our youth have been positively impacted by Lecgacy513 and their time in our buildings. It’s truly remarkable how the love of cards a father & son shared is impacting our youth in such a positive way. We are so grateful for them!” – Corina Anaple, Associate Director of Philanthropic Giving

COLLABORATION – WORKING TOGETHER TO CHANGE LIVES

DaVita Dialysis began partnering with NewPath through a back-to-school drive. Volunteers collected hygiene and school supplies, then spent two hours organizing and filling backpacks. DaVita Dialysis later hosted an event for NewPath Academy students where they served lunch, rented a Kona ice truck as a special treat, and distributed the backpacks. They also hosted a Trunk-or-Treat for NewPath Academy students last fall.

“They had such a great time and are beginning to engage in so many more ways, which is so exciting! We love to see new organizations come through the door, volunteer, and give back. DaVita Dialysis stepped up and made a difference! We are thankful for their time, resources, and positive energy to help kick off the school year in a great way.”– Corina Conley, Associate Director of Philanthropic Giving (NewPath)

DETERMINATION – Dedicated to MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Citibank has partnered with NewPath since 2016. For the past nine years, they have partnered through volunteering at field days, spreading holiday cheer, and supporting our youth. From bringing smiles to our clients’ faces to strengthening the neighborhoods we serve, Citibank has made a lasting impact we feel every day.

“The Citibank team has been an incredible group to collaborate with. From supporting our Holiday Program to volunteering their time, their commitment to our mission is evident in every interaction. You can truly see the passion their employees bring to serving the youth in the NewPath community. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and are excited to continue growing together.” – Corina Conley, Associate Director of Philanthropic Giving (NewPath)

EMPATHY – SUPPORTING OTHERS THROUGH UNDERSTANDING

The Mercy Health Mission Directors volunteered their time this past December at Louie’s Holiday Market, assisting shoppers, organizing items, and wrapping presents for our foster care youth. The Mercy Health Cincinnati NPD Team also volunteered at Louie’s Market and organized the Resource Center. Both Mercy Health organizations helped us create a seamless shopping experience that brought holiday cheer to NewPath clients and their families.

“We were so honored to be a part of Louie’s Market and be able to help others during the holiday season.“ – Jessica Shafrin, Director of Mission at The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health

EMPOWERMENT – IGNITING HOPE AND POSITIVELY IMPACTING LIVES

Barnes Dennig started its partnership with NewPath in 2016, expanding its involvement through a “Volunteer Outreach Day” in October 2025. Barnes Dennig selected NewPath for its “Life Skills Challenge,” hosted by our Experiential Learning program. Helping with the stations and teaching students various life skills to use as they grow toward adulthood. Most recently, Barnes Dennig hosted a donation drive to benefit Louie’s Holiday Market and is a sponsor of our upcoming Topgolf event.

“The individuals at Barnes Dennig share a passionate belief and excitement for the work we do. They are willing to jump into any initiative or need we have presented. I’m very grateful for this partnership and for the individuals at Barnes Dennig and how they prioritize giving back to their community.” – Corina Anaple, Associate Director of Philanthropic Giving
