NewPath Volunteers: A Year of Impact

Volunteer Week 2025

Join us as we look back at the difference NewPath volunteers have made in the past year!

A Little Time. A Big Impact.

At NewPath Child & Family Solutions, we ignite hope by bringing people together to impact our community, change lives, and make a difference. Volunteering is an excellent opportunity to foster relationships with co-workers and community members, or even meet new people while contributing to a worthy cause. NewPath offers a range of commitment levels, from one-time volunteer tasks to long-term involvement. NewPath is continually growing and innovating new ways to support the community, resulting in an expanding list of volunteer needs. However, NewPath’s current opportunities aren’t limitations. All volunteers are invited to get creative and start a service project that aligns with their passions.

Be a part of something bigger through volunteering and living our Guiding Principles. These essential traits ignite hope, guide our interactions, and change futures.

  • Empowerment: Teach, challenge, and support each person to tap into their personal strengths.
  • Empathy: Create a culture of acceptance and respect for all.
  • Creativity: Adapt to the uniqueness of each person and their journey.
  • Determination: Demonstrate an unwavering belief in each person’s potential and abilities.
  • Collaboration: Connect and communicate to build rapport and strengthen relationships.

NewPath is taking time to show appreciation for those who have donated their time in the past. Thank you for your continued efforts to make a difference. Additionally, this is an invitation to new members of the NewPath community to become a part of something bigger.

Volunteers – Living our Guiding Principles

CREATIVITY – FINDING NEW WAYS TO HELP OTHERS

GE Aerospace began partnering with NewPath this year and has already made a significant impact in our organization. They are covering the cost of Thanksgiving dinner for both NewPath Academy students and the youth in our Residential programming. Additionally, their team is volunteering to serve the food and help make the holiday fun for our clients!

“Since day one of Bryan Houser and his team walking through NewPath’s doors, they’ve been eager to jump in and make a difference. Between covering the costs for Thanksgiving meals for our clients to giving a monetary donation the first day we met in person, they’ve been a shining light in our community. We are so excited to continue our partnership with them in the future!“ – Allie Daria, Corporate Partnership Coordinator

COLLABORATION – WORKING TOGETHER TO CHANGE LIVES

Members of Cincinnati’s 7 Hills Church have volunteered with NewPath since 2023. Their support includes collecting in-kind donations, volunteering at various events for NewPath youth throughout the year, hosting an on-site youth group for our clients, inviting additional youth to 7 Hills’ youth group, and preparing NewPath’s Central location before we moved last summer. Their continued partnership and willingness to support our youth in any way they can are both deeply appreciated and inspiring.

“At 7 Hills Church, our mission is to expand Heaven one person at a time. We decided to partner with the team at NewPath in 2023 because they had the same heart; to serve each guest uniquely, one at a time. From our Wednesday night Legacy Youth services to holiday outreaches and more, our team is always filled up when we get to be at NewPath!” – Jake Fraiture, Cincinnati Pastor

DETERMINATION – Dedicated to MAKING A DIFFERENCE

IronRoad first partnered with NewPath in May of 2023 as a Topgolf event sponsor. Their dedication and support have since grown to include volunteering and in-kind donations. Employees of IronRoad have volunteered by donating cookies to our NewPath Academy students, hosting a holiday gift drive, participating in mock interviews and career fairs, and organizing NewPath’s Resource Center.

“My family and I will be forever grateful for the role St. Joe’s Orphanage [NewPath] and the loving people there played in our lives. What happened with my family and the healing that took place for all of us is what drives me to come back and serve at NewPath. My hope and prayer is that this community will recognize that they can be a part of that answer. Together, Cincinnati, we can do it!” – Billy Southerland, IronRoad CEO and NewPath Board Member

EMPATHY – SUPPORTING OTHERS THROUGH UNDERSTANDING

Bill Iles started working with NewPath by attending a couple of our career fairs and volunteering for mock interviews to help prepare the teens and young adults in our services. He then organized a field trip to his workplace to help inspire the youth and discover a career path they are passionate about. On the tour, Bill emphasized the importance of obtaining a high school diploma. Before the tour, he hosted a company-wide golf outing to raise funds, which were then used to gift each NewPath youth a pair of Air Jordan sneakers, gift cards, a hoodie, and socks. Bill also sponsored NewPath‘s Topgolf outing through his workplace and continues to seek new ways to stay involved in our mission.

“In all ways, Bill’s dedication to our kiddos grows and grows each year and we are incredibly appreciative of everything!“ – Connie Ring, NewPath‘s Senior Director of Philanthropic Giving

EMPOWERMENT – IGNITING HOPE AND POSITIVELY IMPACTING LIVES

Ty Holden and his organization, Holden Hands, began partnering with NewPath in Fall 2024. Ty first came to NewPath through a collaboration with the Cincinnati Bengals. Inspired by our mission, Ty donated clothing to our youth in need. He then hosted events for NewPath youth, including a bowling night and a holiday shopping trip at Target.
