Congratulations, Tony Keckeis, 40 Under 40 Award Recipient
Tony Keckeis is an award recipient of the 2024 Cincinnati Business Courier’s 40 Under 40 Program. He is a long-time supporter and current Chair of NewPath’s LEAD Board. In his role as Chair, Tony has shown true leadership and initiative in rebuilding the group after COVID, when its enrollment and activity declined. He has been an active volunteer and donor of NewPath since 2018. Tony’s passion and dedication to our mission helps to further Ignite Hope and Change Futures for the children and families of our community.

Career Highlights
Viking Partners – 2020 to present
- Promoted to Director of Finance and Accounting 2023 – increasing responsibilities to add all HR, benefits, and retirement planning for employees.
- Managed and cultivated all necessary debt market relationships to secure the necessary debt for our investments.
- Added oversight, financial strategy, and investor reporting for their investment funds, which have over $450MM in assets under management.
The Loring Group – 2018 to 2020
- Acted as an in-house expert in all things finance and accounting for a small real estate family office with a team of five people.
- Managed Loan requirements, financial reporting, annual budgeting, construction accounting, tax compliance, treasury management, and many other miscellaneous responsibilities of a small company controller.
Phillips Edison and Company – 2016 to 2018
- Joined the company as the expense team lead, implementing a new utility billing system in the first six months.
- Transitioned to the revenue team lead, managing all revenue items for 300+ properties. He also added the management of the debt and CAM portfolios, including team members, to his responsibility list.
Messer Construction Company – 2007 to 2016
- Worked his way up from a staff accountant to a Business Manager, taking direct ownership of things and finding better ways to do them.
- Contributed to implementing a new Business line in the “Managed Equipment Services” offering to subcontractors, generating more income for Messer while reducing overall project costs.
- Implemented a ten-year business Plan and a 3-year acquisition plan, increasing utilization and income for the division during his tenure by over 100%.
- Managed a team of 4 direct reports and started the initiative of revamping the Accounting Intern program to provide a mentor and buddy for each student, ensuring an engaging and authentic learning experience for all students.
Community Involvement Highlights
Tony joined the NewPath Child & Family Solutions Young Professionals Board in 2018 and served as the Board’s Treasurer until becoming Board Chair in 2022. In his capacity as Chair, Tony serves as the group’s liaison to the NewPath Board of Directors. Additionally, he has been a member of NewPath’s Board of Directors’ Finance Committee since 2019.
NewPath’s Young Professionals Board’s purpose is to increase awareness of NewPath’s mission and message through engagement opportunities, volunteerism, and fundraising.
NewPath’s LEAD BoArd Success
- Raised $28,000 during the 2019 Monte Carlo event, $25,000 during the 2020 Monte Carlo event, $3,019 during the 2023 Topgolf event, and $8,540 during the 2024 Topgolf event.
- Hosted and cooked a pancake breakfast for the youth in NewPath’s Residential Interventions services.
- Provided instructions in preparing a healthy meal to the young adults in NewPath’s Independent Living Services through a Dinner Tutorial event.
- Participated in West Side Brewing’s 2018 Pints For a Purpose Awareness event and Rhinegeist Brewing’s 2023 Beer for Humans Awareness event.
- Collaborated with Kendra Scott to host a Mother’s Day fundraising shopping day in 2023.
- Promoted NewPath’s partnership with Nation Restaurant’s BIT Burger participation and fundraiser event.
- Partnered with NewPath during active projects, such as the back-to-school drive and holiday gift fundraiser.
NewPath’s LEAD Board
Through a collaborative effort and organizational partnership, we increase awareness of NewPath’s mission and message through engagement opportunities, volunteerism, and fundraising. We value personal education and professional growth. Most importantly, we are an extension of NewPath’s philanthropic support for children and families affected by trauma.
