A Message from NewPath’s Chief Operations & Impact Officer

Despite the cold weather, the hearts of NewPath youth are toasty warm because of the generosity of supporters like you!

Louie’s Holiday Market was successfully launched, providing gifts to 430 clients and raising $49,089. Thank you to the 64 volunteers who helped us shop and to the countless donors who made this all possible.

Additionally, we were awarded second place in Cincinnati Magazine’s Cincinnati Gives fundraising contest. This virtual event is a friendly competition for local non-profits to raise money and win matching funds. Together, we raised $158,438, including two bonus challenges and a second-prize award.

Thank you again for your continued support and investment in our mission of providing therapeutic solutions to our clients and their families.

-Tricia Mullins, Chief Operations & Impact Officer

Supporter Spotlights

Empowering Donor Spotlight – NewPath LEAD Board

NewPath’s LEAD Board (Leaders for Education, Advocacy & Development) is a group of young professionals who support our mission through volunteering, fundraising, and promoting our organization.

This past year, board volunteers served a pancake breakfast for our Residential Interventions youth, helped organize the Resource Center, and worked in Louie’s Holiday Market. LEAD Board also hosted the annual Topgolf Outing, raising over $32,000 with 170 attendees.

Through a collaborative effort, LEAD Board doubled its membership from 7 to 14 last year and is still actively recruiting to continue growing.

LEAD Board is still accepting new members! Learn more about how you can get involved.

Impactful Corporate Partnerships – Mercy Health – Mission Directors & Cincinnati NPD Team

The Mercy Health Mission Directors volunteered their time this past December at Louie’s Holiday Market, assisting shoppers, organizing items, and wrapping presents for our foster care youth. The Mercy Health Cincinnati NPD Team also volunteered at Louie’s Market and organized the Resource Center.

Both Mercy Health organizations helped us create a seamless shopping experience that brought holiday cheer to NewPath clients and their families.

“We were so honored to be a part of Louie’s Market and be able to help others during the holiday season.“ – Jessica Shafrin, Director of Mission at The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health

Client Story

Nourishing Hope, Learning to Grow

Melissa* first came to NewPath in 2019 after relocating to Ohio from Puerto Rico.

She suffered from major depression, struggled to make friends, and frequented the hospital for self-injury recovery.

Backed by the support of NewPath’s team of experts, Melissa graduated from high school a few months early, obtained her driver’s license, and completed her phlebotomy certification.

She now works full-time in healthcare and lives independently in an apartment with a roommate.

Melissa used the tools and skills she learned from NewPath to achieve her goals, gain control of her life, and maintain a healthy mental well-being.

Louie the Lion

NewPath’s Cuddliest Team Member

Meet Louie the Lion, NewPath’s newest and cuddliest team member. He might seem like just a little stuffed lion, but he has BIG responsibilities. For many, the lion symbolizes bravery and strength. For NewPath youth, Louie also represents HOPE. NewPath is a positive source of renewal, where children and families turn to recover and rebuild strength in the aftermath of traumatic situations.
