A Message from NewPath’s Chief Impact Officer
2025 has brought forth areas of growth that have challenged our agency to do more. We recognize that as the needs of our community evolve, we must be prepared to respond accordingly.
NewPath Academy’s first full school year recently ended in our new building, which was extremely exciting. We had three young adults graduate from our high school, and six students transition back to their home schools. Many of these education clients are filling the halls today for summer programming.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, these programs are more than just a service offering; they are filled with experiences, celebrations, and tailored to meet client needs.
Over the last several months, we have been fortunate to partner with numerous individual and corporate partners, ensuring that our clients receive celebrations of their accomplishments, clothing or hygiene products, and the opportunity to go on field trips within our community.
None of this is possible without the hundreds of donors, like you, who walk alongside us year over year to ensure that we are making lasting impressions on those in need.
Thank you for extending our mission of Igniting Hope & Changing Futures through your generous gifts.
Supporter Spotlights
Empowering Donor Spotlight – Kelly Haddix
Kelly was introduced to NewPath through her employment at IronRoad, a company that has been a continuous philanthropic partner. She came for a tour and immediately expressed a desire to get involved. Kelly joined NewPath’s LEAD Board and was later appointed as secretary. Her passion led to getting her family involved. Her sister volunteered as an interviewer on NewPath’s ‘Mock Interview” day. Kelly’s parents continually advocate for our organization, sponsor and attend NewPath events, and donate an annual gift from their family foundation.
“I was raised to give back to my community, and from a young age have always been involved with volunteer work. I am passionate about helping others however I can, and it’s something that brings an immense amount of joy to my life. After my first visit to NewPath, I knew it was a special place. It represents a new beginning for these kids and a place for them to thrive and gain resources that they will be able to use for life. Every role at NewPath, no matter how minor, helps to shape the futures of the next generation, and that’s inspiring to me.” – Kelly Haddix, LEAD Board Secretary
Impactful Corporate Partnerships – Citibank
Citibank has partnered with NewPath since 2016. For the past nine years, they have partnered through volunteering at field days, spreading holiday cheer, and supporting our youth. From bringing smiles to our clients’ faces to helping strengthen the neighborhoods we serve, Citibank has made a lasting impact that we feel every day.
“The Citibank team has been an incredible group to collaborate with. From supporting our Holiday Program to volunteering their time, their commitment to our mission is evident in every interaction. You can truly see the passion their employees bring to serving the youth in the NewPath community. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and are excited to continue growing together.” – Allie Daria, Corporate Partnership Coordinator
Client Story
Learning to feel safe again
Charlie* is a 10-year-old boy who entered NewPath’s Residential program after years of disrupted placements due to struggling with his behavioral health, originating from a history of early childhood neglect, exposure to domestic violence, and parental substance abuse.
He is extremely sweet and caring with a passion for animals, particularly dogs. However, triggering events and distressing situations caused Charlie to feel the need to protect himself and display aggressive behaviors, a lack of emotional regulation, and impulse control issues. He struggled to express himself, especially when upset or in situations that made him feel uncomfortable. School was also initially difficult for him.
With individualized support and patience, NewPath’s Residential Team helped Charlie gain the confidence to express his emotions when upset and excel in challenging environments, such as school and the community. To support him with regulation, NewPath’s Care Team gave him a stuffed dog, which he loved and carried around throughout his treatment programming.
In situations and settings that he once found challenging and led to disruptive behaviors, Charlie began to excel in demonstrating increased safety and engagement in educational and treatment services. He successfully transitioned to a foster home and continues his care plan in NewPath’s Day Programs.

Louie the Lion
NewPath’s Cuddliest Team Member
Meet Louie the Lion, NewPath’s newest and cuddliest team member. He might seem like just a little stuffed lion, but he has BIG responsibilities. For many, the lion symbolizes bravery and strength. For enrolled NewPath youth, Louie also represents HOPE. NewPath is a positive source of renewal, where children and families turn to recover and rebuild strength in the aftermath of traumatic situations.
