A Message from NewPath’s Chief Operations & Impact Officer

Generosity continues to bloom here at NewPath Child & Family Solutions! Over the last several months, we’ve received support from donors, corporate partners, and community members. Because of this unwavering support, we can Ignite Hope and Change Futures for those who need us the most.

As we head into the Spring season, we have so much to celebrate. Our annual Topgolf outing is scheduled for the first week of May to raise funds for our Residential Interventions program.

The newly expanded and renovated Residential Interventions building opens this month, answering Ohio’s growing need for more intensive behavioral and mental health support.

NewPath Academy is excited to celebrate 23 student milestones at our graduation ceremonies. These students are graduating from their care plans, transitioning back to a traditional school setting, and/or graduating eighth grade and headed to high school!

Thank you for continuing to be an extension of our mission and helping us support the youth of our community.

Supporter Spotlights

Empowering Donor Spotlight – John First & His Son

John First and his son started their nonprofit, Legacy513, together, driven by a shared passion for collecting and assembling sports card packs. Legacy513 began partnering with NewPath at the beginning of this year. John comes once a month to NewPath Academy and NewPath’s East Campus locations. He meets with our students and Residential clients, bringing packs of cards so our youth can learn about and discover the joy of card collecting.

“Legacy513 has become more than we ever imagined. It started as time together as a family, but with the starting help from Collect Joy Network, they helped us see how much bigger the impact could be. Now it’s something that allows us to give back and teach valuable life lessons about generosity, work ethic, and community.” – John First, Legacy513 Founder

Impactful Corporate Partnerships – Barnes Dennig

Barnes Dennig started its partnership with NewPath in 2016, expanding its involvement through a “Volunteer Outreach Day” in October 2025. Barnes Dennig selected NewPath for its “Life Skills Challenge,” hosted by our Experiential Learning program. Helping with the stations and teaching students various life skills to use as they grow toward adulthood. Most recently, Barnes Dennig hosted a donation drive to benefit Louie’s Holiday Market and is a sponsor of our upcoming Topgolf event.

“The individuals at Barnes Dennig share a passionate belief and excitement for the work we do. They are willing to jump into any initiative or need we have presented. I’m very grateful for this partnership and for the individuals at Barnes Dennig and how they prioritize giving back to their community.” – Corina Anaple, Associate Director of Philanthropic Giving

Client Story

Small Steps Forward on the Path toward Healing

Marcus* has been with NewPath for about seven years due to social withdrawal and isolation. He rarely spoke—most of his interactions were limited to avoiding eye contact and nodding in response to questions.

Recently, Marcus had a massive breakthrough in the form of eye contact and vocal communication with members of his NewPath team.

“What might seem like a small step to others is, in truth, an incredible leap forward for him. It represents trust, courage, and a willingness to engage with the world in a new way. Sometimes progress happens quietly, over many years, until one day a door opens, and light shines through.” -Sarah Hughes, Director of Clinical Excellence

Louie the Lion

NewPath’s Cuddliest Team Member

Meet Louie the Lion, NewPath’s newest and cuddliest team member. He might seem like just a little stuffed lion, but he has BIG responsibilities. For many, the lion symbolizes bravery and strength. For enrolled NewPath youth, Louie also represents HOPE. NewPath is a positive source of renewal, where children and families turn to recover and rebuild strength in the aftermath of traumatic situations.
