Tom Curran, NewPath’s Foster Care Program Manager, joined WKRC Local 12 on Thursday, May 28, to discuss the urgent need for licensed foster parents in the Cincinnati tri-state area.

“I think we forget as adults how big a year is to an 8-year-old. If you’re with someone for a year as an adult, you can “sneeze a year.” It will just breeze by, but for that foster youth, that was an eighth of their life,” said Tom Curran.

Fostering even just one child for a couple of months changes their life for years to come. Each foster placement is more than just sheltering a child in need or providing a bed. You are creating a home and a childhood for someone, laying the foundation for a brighter future. Being a foster parent provides love to youth in need and, more than that, gives you the gift of changing lives.
