role description:
Treatment Specialists/ Challenge Leaders provide daily care and therapeutic interventions to youth served in our residential treatment programs. This position allows professionals an opportunity to teach youth skills while doing the things they love (sports, art, being outdoors, cooking, field trips, etc.).

population:
The residential treatment programs at St. Joes serve children and youth between the ages of 0 and 17. Many of the youth we serve have experienced significant trauma and other difficulties. Many of the youth we serve have mental health diagnoses and need behavioral stabilization.

shift:
We are primarily hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Must be available to work weekends and some holidays.

pay and benefits
We offer competitive pay (minimum starting pay of $13.25/ hr.), a $1,000 sign-on bonus, a quarterly retention bonus, and an opportunity for a monthly incentive bonus. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including low deductible medical insurance paid mostly by the agency, dental, company-paid 401(k), and paid holidays and vacation.

Qualified Candidates:

Must have all of the following to be considered:

• Have a high school diploma (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
• 21 years of age
• MUST be able to pass a background check
• No more than 5 points on his/ her driver’s license

Preferred Candidates will have all of the following plus:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Candidates with experience working with children and/or comparable education experience
