Cincinnati Health Dept. Gives COVID-19 Vaccine to SJO Staff

COVID-19 Vaccine Offered to Employees

We would like to take a moment to share our gratitude to the Cincinnati Health Department for spending their Sunday at NewPath Child & Family Solutions (formerly St. Joseph Orphanage). Working hard to vaccinate 96 employees with the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine.  Our agency departments collaborated and put in countless hours to organize a vaccination clinic for our employees.

“I am very grateful NewPath was able to organize the COVID-19 vaccine clinic for our team. During these very challenging times, health and safety for all is truly a priority.”

Brandy Desenberg, Director of Access & Medical Services

Keeping our team at NewPath safe and healthy is of the utmost importance to us.  We value each individual team member and want them to feel safe. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is an important first step to prevent sickness. Healthcare personnel are among the first to receive the vaccine because of their essential role in providing mental health services to our community.

The vaccine will help protect our employees, clients, families, and those who are at risk for severe illness from COVID-19. We are proud of our staff serving as a role models in our community. In fact, getting vaccinated first can positively influence vaccination decisions of coworkers, residents, friends, and family.

We partnered with the Cincinnati Health Department to provide on-site COVID-19 vaccination for 96 staff members free of charge. We still encourage everyone in our facilities to continue to follow all the current guidance to protect themselves and others. More specifically, always wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet away from others, avoiding crowds, following facility guidance on visitation and infection control, and cleaning hands often.

Thank you again to all who made this possible for our team.
